Random thoughts, the occasional rant, and some ideas that have a point and actually make sense...
Does anyone else CRAVE the smell of summer? You know what I’m talking about? That combination of cut grass, mixed with rain and heat, the smell of sunscreen where ever you go, and if you stand still and breathe deep, you can smell the faintest trail of chlorine. The way you skin smells after you have been in the sun for a while, the smell of flowers and trees finally coming to life once again. The smell of berries ripening on the vine, you can even smell the ice that people put in their coolers. God I love those smells! I crave them all year and the first day I actually get to smell them I get happy all over. Silly huh? I also wait all year to hear the sounds of summer. The ice cream truck, kids playing out side, bikes clanging down the street, and ball hitting the pavement over and over. The sound of water splashing, and roller skate or roller blade wheels on the side walk. Hoses spraying the car or kids, or watering your plants, fans running in the house. Laughter. You hear more laughter in the summer then any other time of the year. The sound of Hotel
While playing darts DO NOT yell “Oh! Heads!” After the dart has already pegged someone, because you missed the board and the dart ricocheted off the wall.
Do NOT poke someone’s ass with the dart while they are trying to throw, not a good idea
Do NOT get in the way of Tony after he has just thrown all but one of his darts into the outside of the board therefore bringing his score to a big fat zero.
Do NOT mess with Hoop while he is asleep on the couch. Don’t ask…just don’t do it.
Do NOT try to watch “Medium” in a room full of loud drunk people and then yell “SSSSHHHH!!! I can’t hear my show!!”
Do NOT let on that you and Aug have been cheating all night…
Do NOT chalk Tony’s nose with bright blue chalk as an act of revenge after he kicks you in the head doing a hand spring off the counter…
And last but not least…
DO NOT under ANY circumstances catch a dart as it’s falling off the board in an attempt to keep it from hitting the table and making a hole in it! It hurts people!! Just don’t do it!
The Devils are down 3-1 in the serise...I am pissed at this point...Sad, no, bummed, no, PISSED, yes. This is crap. They friggin forgot to show up last night. It was sad and pathetic. That's 2 years in a row that they have just gone down in a great big ball of flames during the serise...not ok...PLUS Scotty isn't on the team any more...this is upsetting to me on SO many levels. Not only is he not on the team but they are losing to HIM on his new team. He now plays for the Rangers by the way in case anyone needed that information. At least he's not playing for the F$*ing Flyers, or worse yet the Bruins!! That would just make my year I'll tell ya...
I hate Overtimes. Does that make me a bad fan?? HATE THEM! I just figure that you need to get the job done in regulation that's all. I mean I can't sit here all night while you take your own sweet time getting the job done. Games last long enough as it is, let's not add OT to it shall we...just show up and get the job done and get it done in regulation. That's really all I ask. Is that too much??
Moving on...I feel like crap...I have the cold from hell...I am losing my voice and I blame it entirely on Kissa.
Wedding plans are going well. I am almost all done. Yeah! I can't believe it's so soon! Less then 4 months to go. That's just nuts!
The bummer of it all is though, that most of my family wont be there. Long story, bottom line is they can't be bothered...we aren't close but this is my WEDDING people...sheesh...AND one of my best friends can't make it either. Granted he lives in Boston now (I HATE THE BRUINS!! He better not ever become a fan) and it's a 3000 mile jont to get here...so I don't hold it against him for not being able to make it...not to mention that our wedding lands 2 days before his 1 year anniversay...so he needs to be home for that for sure!!
Other then that....I got nothing...we are going to meet a friend of Aug's that he hasn't seen since Highschool on Saturday. I am a bit nervous. They were really good friends for a long time...so I hope she likes me.
